LEADDOG ARRIVES TO
THE MARKETING AND PROMOTIONS SCENE : NEW YORK, NY May 23, 2000 LeadDog Marketing
Group, an event/internet marketing, production and management company
has opened its office in New York City. Led by former National Basketball
Association executive Dan Mannix, the new company capitalizes on the
experience, creativity and energy of its partners and applies their
diverse backgrounds in the following areas: -Event Marketing, Production and Management this area includes: 1) the development and implementation of events and sports programming and 2) the creation, management and execution of local and national marketing campaigns and promotions. -Business Development this area relates to the development and management of strategic partnerships for new and existing campaigns. -Recruiting and Training this area includes: 1) the recruitment and placement of candidates in the promotions, events and production industries and 2) sourcing and training of managers, staff and volunteers for short and long term projects/events. LeadDogs founding
partners have broad experience in the aforementioned areas, highlighted
as follows: Dan Mannix, President, prior to founding LeadDog Marketing
Group in November 1999, Dan served six years at the NBA. Mannix was
Director of Special Events for two international basketball tournaments
and a leader in the events group that created the NBAs interactive
All-Star Jam Session event. Additionally, Mannix was a founding member
of the WNBA staff as their Director of Team Operations. During his tenure
at the NBA, he served as the Competition Manager for the Olympic and
Paralympic basketball tournaments in Atlanta in 1996. After the NBA,
Mannix served as Executive Producer of the 1998 Goodwill Games in New
York. Charly Schwartz,
Vice President, has an extensive background in event marketing, mobile,
marketing, brand introduction and promotions. As a former Director of
Operations and Account Director for Atlanta-based Measured Marketing,
Charly directed efforts in the areas of client services, event planning
and execution for large-scale national promotional tours. Responsibilities
within these roles included negotiating sponsorships, creating special
events, recruiting, training and supervising staff, and development
of new business. Siobhan Dennehy,
Vice President joined LeadDog after spending nine years at the NBA.
After six years in the NBAs Special Events Group where she coordinated
areas from transportation, creative services and international relations
for events to guest services, ticketing and event logistics Siobhan
became NBA Manager of International Marketing Services in March of 1996. LeadDog will combine their overall management experience with creative and strategic business solutions.
